Sound system and installation February 18, 2010 Reviewer: Douglas N. There were some appointment issues but were quickly resolved and the extra wait was more than worth while. I would recomend Zip's sevice to anyone. Great service - they aim to please! February 18, 2010 Reviewer: Biju Philip from Chicago, IL United States   Jake took my service request and did an exceptional job through it all. He was extremely quick to respond - even on weekends. One component that they ordered came a bit late, but Zip made sure to send the technicians out again when the unit arrived at no extra cost to me. The technicians stayed late to wire my home theater system and really wanted to make sure that we were happy. Given that they lived 2 hours away, it was great to see such a level of service. Jake also recommended an IR receiver so that I can house components in my closet and just point my remote at the TV. Very clean. Some tips: -Put down sheets/tarps/painter's plastic in the area for which the work will be done. Our theater install involved a lot of dust (think baby powder in the air, everywhere). -Clearly document your request so that Zip technicians knows exactly what to expect. Fortunately, I had all the components and speaker wire, but had to pick up an HDMI cable last minute. -Buy HDMI cables on amazon. They are SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper here than your average big box store. -Map out on paper exactly what you need done. This helps the technicians immensely, particularly for more complex jobs. Very helpful February 18, 2010 Reviewer: WANDA O   The install guy was quite nice and very good at his job. I am quite satisfied with the visit and I am sure we will be using your service again.  His name was Derrick from Covington, LA and seems to really know his job. This was easy and done January 16, 2010 Reviewer: Gene Newell-Jones from Boston, MA   I found this website while I was looking for best buy installers.  This company had a little better price and I used their click to chat and asked a few questions, they were very helpful.  I went ahead and purchased on this site and scheduled my appointment while I was paying.  The installer showed up on Saturday and he setup my Denon amp and the speakers that came with my Christmas gift.  I am just renting my flat so I didn't want the wires pulled into the walls, but the installer did a great job tucking the wires under the baseboard.  Everything works super great.  I still am confused by the Denon amp since there are too many DSP modes and they all sound funny except the home theater setting, but that is just me. Good service July 5, 2009 Reviewer: Harold from Texas   Please give some credit to my installer. His name was Chad and he was friendly and patient while teaching us how to use our new home theater.
