The X-arm is a motorized robotic wall mount for flat panel HDTVs that allows a viewer to adjust the viewing angle of the TV with the convenience of one click on a remote control. When people build a home cinema they forget just how essential the mount is to their viewing experience. Unless your room is pitch black, chances are you have glare that can reduce the quality of the picture. You might also need to adjust your screen depending on where you are sitting at any given time. The X-Arm is the only mount that allows you to constantly have the best picture possible
regardless of glare or viewing angle. If you have ever tried to adjust a traditional mount you realize how tedious and difficult a process that can be.
The X-Arm will mount all TV's from 40 to 63 inches and support displays up to 180 lbs. Some displays might require an adapter. The X-Arm is a ruggedly constructed quality mount built to last that will give you many years of enjoyment. HDTV's have a "sweet spot" which is the perfect angle to see the best picture possible. This angle can change due to glare from the sun or indoor lighting, as well as where you are sitting in the room at any given time. Due to the inconvenience of manually adjusting a TV which requires two people to fine tune, most people tend to just leave the TV in one set position and forget about it which means they do not enjoy the benefits of a true high definition viewing experience. Glare and bad viewing angles can substantially diminish the picture quality on your your display.
The X-Arm allows you to easily find that "sweet spot" no matter where you are sitting and regardless of glare from lighting with the ease of a click on the remote.
When the X-arm mount is in a retracted position (which happens automatically when you turn off the power on your TV), the TV is only 4.6 inches from the wall so that all you notice is the TV. The magic, however, happens when the remote control is used to activate X-arm mount which smoothly extends the TV away from the wall, then can swivel the TV from side to side from 20 degrees to 28 degrees depending on screen size (total swivel movement maximum 56 degrees), and/or tilt the TV up 7 degrees and down 20 degrees (total maximum tilt movement 27 degrees).
The X-arm mount can be controlled through two methods: IR universal remote control (Included in box); or RS-232 port, integrated with Lifeware, AMX, Crestron, Control4, and pretty much any universal remote or home automation system very easily. A true automated mounting system. |
